Verdict
Budelli has been in tremendous form of late winning three of his last four starts and has proven form in testing ground. The son of Elbio won with a little more in hand than the margin of superiority suggests last time and should go well off a 4lb higher mark. Atlantic Viking hails from a yard that can do little wrong at present and showed his well being when a close runner-up at Ascot last time but his best form has come on a faster surface while Ceepio had the run of the race last time and may have been flattered. Ragamuffin has shot up the handicap since scoring at Newcastle in June and Regal Song is inconsistent so the TEAMtalk vote goes to Carrie Pooter. David Barron's mare, who relishes the mud, is on a fair mark and showed signs of an imminent return to the winner's enclosure when third under top weight at Hamilton late last month.
