      Verdict

It was soft going when Dark Jedi won at Hamilton and he’ll find this much tougher upped in grade under a penalty. Benadalid is a credit to connections and has won three of his six previous starts here, included his latest last month. He has to go on the shortlist as he probably holds Mulligatawny on the form book. Nicklaus has claims if his Ascot run has blown away a few cobwebs and Sameem won here last season. HESSLEWOOD tries a new trip but was just beaten under P J McDonald over an extended mile at Beverley two runs ago so should last home around here.
