In depth
Verdict
Sand Cat showed promise on his debut at Lingfield but this looks tougher and a chance is taken on Mark Johnston's newcomer In Full Cry, who is preferred to River Logic. The last mentioned is trained by Howard Johnson who has more runners on the flat now than in the past and is a likely type on pedigree. Half Pint Bill has had the benefit of two previous starts but has shown a liking for a softer surface so is probably best watched at present. Mick Channon has done well with his juveniles this term so Musical Guest has to be respected along with Buachaill Dona, who comes from the David Nicholls stable that has already had a couple of two-year-old winners this term. Ludovico is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to In Full Cry, who looks well berthed on the far side and the son of Grand Lodge may be too classy for his rivals.
