    Verdict

Formerly trained in France, Arecibo was winning for the first time in this country when dropped back down to 5f at Ayr a week ago. He’s won over today’s trip in the past but carries 5lb extra today and Roundhay Park is preferred having gone close at Haydock recently. Lorton had been threatening before a below par effort over 7f while Listed winner Summer Daydream should do better back sprinting today and makes more appeal than Gin In The Inn and Bossipop. But PIPERS NOTE (NAP) hit form at this time last year with a course and distance double including this race. 7lb lower than when last successful, Ruth Carr’s charge is fancied to return to winning ways.
