William Haggas has a history of sending his improving sorts to Ripon and he throws a real curveball to punters with Wolverhampton maiden winner, Cellist. The Halling gelding disappointed at Sandown but he could still be open to progression. Fillies in form are always worth following and we will side with MAYBEAGREY. The daughter of Shamardal notched up a couple of wins on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton during the winter, but she has really come to hand of late with back-to-back successes at Pontefract and Thirsk. Her previous experience of racing in small fields can see her through. Arley Hall had looked plenty exposed prior to her win at Musselburgh though the substantial market confidence suggested otherwise. Time will tell as to whether she's improved enough to defy the handicapper's riposte of a 9lb rise. Margo Channing has finished runner-up on her last two outings and she looks fated for a supporting role once again.
