Verdict
Albany loves to force the pace and is fancied to follow up his recent Haydock victory, with Corton the main danger and Tiyoun could go well at a decent price. Jedd O'Keeffe has booked Tony Culhane for his five-year-old, who has been off the track for two months and has changed stables. A course and distance winner who relishes very fast conditions and likes to race forward, he is very well handicapped and interesting each way material at the likely price. Corton finished second to Double Obsession in a decent race at Ascot last time. That was an excellent effort and Paul Cole's horse enjoys a front running role, so a decent show can be expected. Pantone has plenty to prove at this trip, while Conquering Love and Swynford Pleasure are others to consider, but our selection is Lynda Ramsden's Albany. This three-year-old gelding looks a progressive type at this middle distance trip and impressed with an easy front running victory on his latest start. A soft lead does not look likely here but he still looks the one they all have to beat.
