    Verdict

Half a dozen of these are course and distance winners including IMTIYAAZ (NAP). Roger Varian's filly won here just over a year ago and has since been competing at a much higher level without being disgraced. Stanghow is now on his highest ever mark after his Thirsk victory, though he holds Silvanus on that form, but Shipyard is greatly respected as he's rarely been beaten far in tough handicaps after completing a double at a higher level last autumn. Pipers Note has won seven races and was beaten less than a length in the Great St Wilfrid here earlier this month. He should go well despite a big weight while his stable companion Avon Breeze was in very good form on ground with some give in the spring.
