With several of the bigger yards represented this looks like being quite a hot little maiden. Of those to have run, Silk Fan sets a fair standard, but it would be something of a surprise if one of the newcomers isn't good enough to see her off. Among the more likely one's are Game Dame, who is Barry Hills' choice from five entries, Lomapamar, who is from a stable that is beginning to find it's form and Nuzooa, who is a half-sister to 12-furlong winner Tasneef and is from the same family as 1000 Guineas heroine Haraayir. Marcus Tregoning's filly holds an entry in the Group 1 Meon Valley Stud Fillies Mile later on this month and will have to land this if she is to take her chance in that prestigious event. Lomapamar has plenty of stamina on the dam's side and will stay every yard of this stiff seven-furlongs. While she will undoubtedly make a better three-year-old, it would be dangerous to underestimate her as her stable have had three two-year-old winners in the past fortnight. Grand Dame is a February foal and should be more forward than the majority of her rivals. However, her lack of big-race entries is slightly off-putting. Silk Fan has shown enough to suggest she can win a little race and although she had Cranachan behind her at Newmarket, she isn't certain to confirm the form as the latter is sure to be all the wiser here. Coconut Cookie has more to do than when runner-up to Liberty on her debut, but is open to improvement, as is Desert Cristal, who was seven-lengths clear of the third at Windsor. However, there looks to be some smart newcomers on show here and Nuzooa looks more interesting than most.
