Verdict

SIR RUMI was given a good ride to land the Great Metropolitan at Epsom 12 days ago. He’s been raised 4lb but has run well enough over this longer trip in the past to suggest he can record a quick double. Saratoga Gold made giant strides last year after winning over track and trip on his reappearance but Prince Alex hasn’t had much racing in the last two years, though was ahead of Secret Shadow at Newbury last month. Mothill is a useful hurdler unexposed on the Flat and Whimsy won twice here last summer. Wandering Rocks isn’t out of this either while the Gosdens’ Mr Inspiration is sure to attract support despite making his debut on Turf.
