In depth
Verdict
A moderate contest to end, with a noticeable lack of strength in depth. Although Trueno has to give weight away all round this French import may well be good enough at this level to make a winning first appearance in this country, even though it is possible the ground may be plenty quick enough for him. Paso Doble is well exposed and it would be a surprise if he was good enough, but Absinther, who has one of the more experienced riders on board isn't without a chance off a 4lbs higher mark than when successful over this trip at Folkestone last August. He handles fast ground and could be the one to take advantage should Trueno fail to act on the fast surface.
