Verdict

The top four in the handicap are all respected but a chance is taken that OKE BAY can make the most of the weight that he receives from the field. The selection is relatively unexposed and has shown improved form since being stepped up to this trip. He was well enough held in a maiden handicap at Goodwood on his penultimate start but this race probably isn't any stronger and he goes to post with a chance. Arab League also makes some appeal at the foot of the weights as he shapes as though he'll stay this far whilst the booking of Ryan Moore for Sinbad The Sailor takes the eye but there are some more reliable options at the head of the weights. Colonel Flay is something of a course specialist although he doesn't always find as much as appears likely but Jack Mitchell knows him well. Murcar hung when coming under pressure at Nottingham but he has been freshened up since and is well enough handicapped if he can be persuaded to put his best foot forwards. Ameeq is a turf maiden but did nothing wrong last time and is well handicapped whilst Isabelonabicycle may not have handled the soft surface last time and had proved consistent prior to that. There are plenty to consider in the finale then but Oke Bay is our suggestion.
