        Verdict

        It is hard to escape the attention of Mushajer here, and he gets our vote ahead of the beautifully-bred Godolphin newcomer Perfectperformance The selection finished a very good third to Iceman on his Newbury debut and, given that the selection went on to win the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, the form has a solid look to it. Being a half-brother by Rahy to Russian Rhythm, the $1.1m purchase Perfectperformance will grab plenty of attention and the betting market might provide a few clues as to the level of his ability. Andrew Balding's Cape Greko cost 35,000 guineas and is related to a number of winners and, along with John Dunlop's Flag Point, Richard Hannon's Golden Dynasty, and Stuart Kittow's 46,000 guineas purchase, Hawridge Star, should all be watched with an eye to the future, while Royal Orissa showed promise on her Newbury debut and should appreciate the step up to seven furlongs here. Overall, though, it is hard to get away from those defined as the principals and, of these, Mushajer gets the call.
