    Verdict

NORTHERN SPY won this a year ago under the same rider carrying more weight than today. He's never raced over this trip subsequently and is taken to complete the double. Annes Rocket was a long way behind a year ago but is much better than that and has a C&D victory to his credit. Silvee was a very easy winner on Polytrack at Lingfield a fortnight ago but has never won from a mark this high while Irie Ute has looked better on the all-weather circuit. The veteran Takitwo hasn't had much racing over the past couple of years but gained a facile success at Folkestone last month and may have been feeling the effects when a moderate fourth at Yarmouth a couple of weeks later.
