Verdict

Evening Encore looks chancing in a modest race although Inch By Inch and Woodbury are respected in opposition. Henry Candy is a particularly shrewd operator and would not have taken the step into handicaps lightly. There is every chance that she will appreciate six furlongs given that her mother (Eveningperformance) had bags of speed. Woodbury finished second before losing that placing on disqualification last time out. She is moderate but at least consistent. Six is ideal for her and she should give her usual account today. Inch By Inch won her race on the far side at Folkestone. The handicapper has had plenty of chance to take a look at her although in a moderate contest - she holds claims. Chorus seems a different creature on an artificial surface and is left alone today. Three Days In May has form to reverse with Inch by Inch but is still 1lb higher than her last winning mark. Long Tall Sally is inconsistent despite a modicum of ability. We will side with Evening Encore on this occasion.
