Verdict
Now that his age has been established, Endless Summer has taken on a new lease of life and he is taken to score again, but the likes of Najeebon, Kingscross and Avening rate as serious dangers. He may have been ignominiously stripped of his two-year-old achievements having been mistakenly identified as being younger than he actually was, but Endless Summer has been making amends of late for his current connections and comes here seeking a straight hat-trick of wins. Much as he runs here under a penalty and will need to be on top of his game, he comes into the race in very good heart and can go well. Najeebon is very closely weighted with the selection based on his Goodwood win, so rates an obvious danger, particularly as he is back on a winning mark, and Kingscross, who met trouble in running that day in the same Goodwood contest, is also weighted to get closer and Kieren Fallon has been booked for the ride. Course and distance winner Goodenough Mover is another with claims, particularly with Hayley Turner taking three pounds off his weight, and throw into the mix usual suspects like OK Pal and Fonthill Road plus the French raider Avening - who must surely not have been sent over for just the good of his health - then you have an idea of the competitive feel to this race. Overall, though, Endless Summer should give you a good run for your money in his hat-trick bid.
