Verdict
The Richard Hannon-trained Mister Saif has not enjoyed the best of luck in his recent starts but he is worth persevering with over this trip and is preferred over Attune and Jath, who have plenty of scope for improvement and have to be respected accordingly. So too is Mystical Girl, who is a typical representative of Mark Johnston's yard that has relished being kept busy since the start of the season. The daughter of Rahy is versatile regarding her best trip and should be capable of getting involved in the shake-up today. Freak Occurrence is another that is not out of this at the weights and could give each-way players a good run at a fair price. However, the likelihood of a decent price also being available about Mister Saif makes him the slightly more appealing betting proposition. The Miswaki colt posted a much-improved effort when keeping on well near the finish at York last month; suggesting that he is well worth another try over this extra furlong. Jockey bookings confirm that the selection is the main hope of Hannon's two runners in the race and, with a fair draw in stall seven; Mister Saif will have very few excuses if he is granted a clear passage today. Attune and Jath do make plenty of appeal on what they have achieved to date and are expected to pose the biggest problems out of the rest.
