      Verdict

Holbeck Ghyll is holding his form well just now and gets the nod over Namir and Bertoliver, while Phantom Whisper is capable of playing a strong part and is also shortlisted as a threat. The last named hails from a yard in good form and, as he goes well at this time of year, he has plenty in his favour. Still, he does look a little high in the weights just now, so needs everything to fall into place for him. Bertoliver does not have too many miles on the clock and arrives here on the back of a hard-fought success at Windsor last month. Kerrin McKevoy keeps the ride and he should make a bold bid to overcome his 6lb higher mark. A little give underfoot would not go amiss, though. Namir has also been in great heart lately and, having won off 82, his current mark of 75 looks feasibly attractive. Watch the betting carefully where he is concerned. However, Holbeck Ghyll edges the verdict on recent form and, after running a blinder at Epsom on Derby day, he is fancied to strike whilst his iron is still hot.
