In depth

Verdict

Purple Emperor gets the confident vote in this maiden with Shavansky and Coastal Command rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second on his debut behind Tranquil Tiger on his debut is sure to have learnt from the experience and given nominal improvement he will be hard to beat. Shavansky rates the main danger on his latest second behind Vulnerable, that form has since been franked but he will be handicaped after this run and that is where his future may lie. Costal Command was second behind Mad Rush last time and is another with place claims. His yard are now begining to hit top form and he should be watched in the market. Officer is another that has ran with promise but his best form is with more cut in the ground while Magic Show is well bred and is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we return to Purple Emperor who sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
