Verdict

A three-runner affair in which Orswell Crest might provide the answer. The Philip Hobbs-trained selection races from a mark of 105 here, having already won from a rating of 100. He's been raised two pounds for a brave run when third at Aintree last time, but could well defy that if fully recovered from his Liverpool exertions. Multi Talented is lightly raced over fences but won a Folkestone novice chase in March, jumping well in the process. He returned from a six-month break to run well when fourth at Bangor on October 11 and is entitled to have more to come. Saffron Sun's sole chasing win came at Exeter in March from a mark of 99. He is now rated 106 but his rider takes three pounds off his back. He too holds a chance of sorts. Just three runners, as we say, but interesting nonetheless, with our vote going to Orswell Crest.
