Verdict

Highly competitive but let's give another chance to REACH. The Easterby mare was a disappointment at Windsor on Thursday when a well-beaten favourite after being hiked 6lb in the ratings. It was admittedly a moderate run but previous winning efforts at Beverley and Nottingham portray her in a far more accurate light. Zarga is an improving three-year-old who should continue her progression under the tutelage of Sir Michael Stoute, but may not offer too much in the way of value and probably needs to take another step forward. She certainly merits shortlisting as that progression could well be forthcoming. James Fanshawe is doubly represented by Compliant and Chips And Rice and the latter makes most appeal as she's almost certainly much better than her latest unplaced run at Goodwood.
