This looks a contest to tread warily in but FAIRMAC might prove good enough against his elders as he's looked an improved performer of late and Johnston three-year-olds frequently continue to improve through the latter months of the season. He's only been nudged up a pound for a strong effort at Chester last time and has a useful 7lb claimer in the saddle. End Result makes some appeal if forgiven a very disappointing effort last time when sent off a warm favourite as he is definitely better than that while the likes of Maiden Castle, course specialist Andaleep, Silver Gunn and the consistent Glencora demand consideration in a wide-open contest.
