Verdict
Sovereign Grant is by Kingman and a half-brother to two winners. The Queen’s colt has Group 1 entries and market support would be significant. Forest Of Dean was a 450,000gns yearling and his dam has already produced three winners at around a mile. He’s another newcomer to note along with Eden Gardens, who is likely to know his job. But those with experience set a decent standard with Rajinsky runner-up on his second start at Haydock and both ALRAJAA and Jaleel making promising debuts. The former took a while to get the hang of things here last month but was noted running on strongly in the closing stages and still holds an entry in next month’s Champagne Stakes so gets the nod ahead of the Newbury fourth.
