In depth
Verdict
Marshall Hall gets a narrow vote here ahead of Great Approach and Sands Rising. Ferdy Murphy's charge showed plenty of ability over hurdles last season and made a very promising start to his chasing career at Uttoxeter last month. He was going nicely until fading through lack of fitness in the home straight. He looks set to come on for the run and could be the best option this afternoon. Great Approach displayed very little form in three hurdle runs but is bred to be a chaser and we may see improvement now he is going over the larger obstacles. Sands Rising hasn't shown too much so far this season but does look well treated on his best form and he could get into the places at a decent price. Another each-way option here could be Day Du Roy, but for the winner we have to go with Marshall Hall.
