    Verdict

Caitriona's Choice ran well on her British debut but topweight is no easy ask. Irish raider Native Commander is consistent and is entitled to consideration although races from a career-high mark. Radar has found life a little tougher since winning from a mark of 95 (now 99 less rider's 3lb claim), although he is one of only two c/d winners in the race. The other is Pharbeitfrome. That came from a mark of 75 (now 82) but he has place claims. Gayles And Showers also has chances at his best. Ulusaba is slightly better off for finishing well behind the topweight here on his last run. He's another that is weighted towards the top end of what he has achieved. On the best of his Irish form back in 2000, Kadouko would have a good chance but he has, so far, failed to reproduce it in Britain. Hombre won here over a longer trip in December (from a mark of 74, now, effectively, 84, as he is 4lbs out of the handicap). It is not a confident selection but maybe Radar can add to his track success and he gets the vote.
