Verdict
Barton Gate is blinkered for the first time and might improve on two middling efforts so far (trainer also runs Legolas). Coulters Candy's second to Nicky Henderson's Native Approach in a slowly-run affair on his debut was a good effort and he holds good claims. Diamond Vein has shown promise and could have place claims in, overall, a modest event. Green Admiral was sixth in a Haydock bumper that has worked out well (winner second in a Newbury Grade 2 event on Saturday) and he gets the vote. Queensland Bay was behind First Grey at Catterick on his debut.
