    Verdict

Stagecoach Opal, Willies Way and Major Oak are three against the field in another tough race to call for punters and the vote is given to Stagecoach Opal. The selection was a fair third behind Bolders Beach last time out, granted that was on a softer surface but he also has form on faster ground and with his yard in good form he rates the main danger. Willies Way rates the main danger on his latest second behind Custom Design but jockey bookings suggest he is the stables second string. Major Oak is another worthy of respect on his latest fifth behind Aly Shrimp especially as this looks easier and he will appreciate the drop in trip so he should be noted in the market. Tartan Classic has shown a modicum of ability in two runs to date and is open to improvement. His yard are now beginning to hit form and he is another to note in the market while Jeringa could go well at a price under conditions that suit but the suspicion is he may be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time and with this in mind for the winner we return to Stagecoach Opal who sets a fair standard.
