Verdict
Bollin Thomas sets the standard here and gets the vote ahead of Macchiato, Etijahaat and Humourous. Dick Allan's gelding is a confident choice, despite the ground turning heavy which won't be ideal for him. Nevertheless he has won with cut on the flat and has run okay on it over the sticks so it should not inconvenience him too much. He is weighted to trounce this lot on what he has achieved so far and we take him to win comfortably. Macchiato is not suited well at all by cut and although she hasn't run badly at Wetherby and here of late, she doesn't look up to beating the selection. Etijahaat was thrashed on debut when already fit from the flat and needs a miracle, while Humourous is tried on testing ground for the first time but with some Sadler's Wells in the blood may just be able to handle it and is a better proposition. But Bollin Thomas is the clear form choice here and can score.
