Verdict
Al Mabrook will be fancied on the strength of an encouraging run last time and is taken to stop Port Moreno completing a hat-trick, with Bergamo and Minivet also likely to figure. Al Mabrook ran up a sequence in low-grade contests in the early part of the year, and was then given a break before taking part in what was a quite competitive claimer here last month. He was not too far away at the finish in third place and will strip fitter now, so should go close off what is a fair mark. Port Moreno has won on both soft and fast ground but did not beat much during either of his last two victories. However, he is still relatively lightly raced over hurdles and has a bit more scope than most, so should be there or thereabouts at the finish. Bergamo is beatable but gets the trip, while Adelphi Boy has an absence to over come and topweight to boot. So, in receipt of weight, Al Mabrook, who should be that bit sharper, is the pick.
