Verdict
A moderate but nevertheless competitive race for punters to deal with. The weights headed by the useful yet highly enigmatic Empire Park. Charlie Egerton hasn't had many runners of late but A P McCoy has been booked for the ride and the horse should be fit from a couple of spins on the level. Cill Churnain confounded a few critics when turning over an odds-on shot on fast ground last time out but that was a weak affair and there has to be a question mark as to whether he will have the necessary pace to make his mark over this trip. River Captain posted a decent second at Doncaster to Man Murphy last season but may be best watched on a return after a long absence. Of the remainder, Tiger Talk is a consistent yet well-exposed performer on the Northern circuit. He is yet to race over anything like this trip but may benefit if a tactical race ensues.
