In depth
Verdict
An uninspiring end to the card which should concern Muckle Flugga, Oh So Brave and Premier Marble, with the vote going to Muckle Flugga. Nicky Richards' mare has been knocking on the door in second on her latest two starts, holding what in the context of this race is pretty decent form at both Hexham and Perth. Trip and ground suit and if she can maintain that level of form she should be good enough. Oh So Brave will be ready to expose any chinks in the armour of the selection. Evan Williams' yard are in flying form, and while the gelding was a winner at Stratford last month, he seems to be better over further than this, so we think that he may have to settle for a place this time around. Premier Marble looks to be best of the rest. Second to Faddad over two miles in a Uttoxeter seller earlier in the month, we will have some idea of how that form has worked out from the performance of Cumwhitton earlier on the card. However, two previous attempts at this trip have proved fruitless and so he is overlooked on this occasion and preference is for Muckle Flugga.
