In depth
Verdict
Hilltime is fit from the Flat and can make that count against Dhaudeloup, with Hamadeenah and Big Wheel others to consider. Another race not to get too involved in, but Hilltime, who meets mainly older opponents here, has winning form to his name over hurdles and although his latest victory at Stratford was over a year ago, John Quinn's charge has been kept busy on the level so will be plenty fit enough. This claiming contest should be well within his capabilities and he gets the vote to give weight away all round. Dhaudeloup did not shape too badly when sent off favourite in a similar race at Perth, only beaten half a length by Spree Vision, and he can give the selection most to do. Hamadeenah is another that has been finding one too good, but he might just need the run, having been absent since July. Big Wheel was disappointing over fences at Uttoxeter but does have a course and distance win to his credit and is dangerous to leave out of calculations, but Hilltime has more scope than most and is the pick.
