Verdict

BLUE EMPYREAN won a Downpatrick bumper and was well supported on his hurdling bow at Bellewstown but appeared to find the three miles too far and this should be more his trip. He can concede the weight to Atlantic Breaker, who has been running consistently on Downpatrick's undulating track though this sort of ground is unknown to him, a remark that also applies to bumper winner Whizzzey Rascal. Duke Cass ran his best race to date when tackling 2m4f at Bellewstown but was beaten a long way on the Flat at Galway last week.
