In depth
Verdict
Not many of these are noted for absolute consistency, so a chance is taken that Marconi Gold can follow up on his course victory from three weeks ago. Red Sun has claims of reversing the form over this trip and, along with lightly raced three-year-old Warbreck, is feared the most out of the rest. That said, it will be no surprise to see money arrive to support the claims of Peak Park, who responded well for Lisa Jones over course and distance to get off the mark 18 days ago. More is required in this slightly tougher company but James Toller's charge had been threatening to do the business a while before he won his maiden and he can go well whilst his confidence is on a high. Bobsleigh is another to bear in mind if there are confident signs about him in the betting market. He has faced much stiffer tests than this in the past and will be hard to keep out of the frame if fit enough to do himself justice after his winter break. There are no such doubts about our hope though, as he has already proved that he retains enough ability to be a force at this level. So Marconi Gold gets another vote of confidence in a tight race to call.
