Another moderate contest, where Onefourseven is taken to bring home the bacon from Cameron Jack, Schoodic Point and Your My Angel. The Patrick Haslam-trained gelding does have stamina to genuinely prove here, having never won over this sort of trip before, but being ten years old now, he will appreciate the slower pace here. A good jumper, he has been dropping down the ratings and off this sort of a mark he appears to have a chance in a race where nothing stands out off the card. Cameron Jack has been finishing closer to the money than the selection, but in lower graded company. Another who has to prove that he stays this sort of trip, he does jump well in the main and on this decent ground he can get home for a place. Schoodic Point is interesting. Sue Smith trains the eight-year-old, who returned after a long absence with an encouraging effort here last time, and if he doesn't suffer from the 'bounce' factor, then he could improve into a place here, while Your My Angel is making steady progress so far, though she doesn't look good enough to trouble the leading protagonists just yet, and our selection is Onefourseven.
