In depth

Verdict

A small field here and that can be narrowed down even further as we take Idaho D'Ox to continue his winning sequence, from Moon Glow and Shampooed. The Martin Pipe-trained gelding achieved his rating of 125 after a hat-trick of successes at Exeter, Bangor and Newton Abbot, all over this sort of trip. A good ground lover, the seven-year-old comes here in top form, jumps well and as there looks to be more to come, he is taken to make it a four-timer in this ordinary affair. Moon Glow receives 10lb from the selection and can go well. However, the Fayruz gelding does look a bit exposed now after a Newton Abbot success saw him go up 8lb, although he performed well enough when a close third at Hexham last time. He can give the selection most to do. There is not a lot of interest elsewhere in this with the possible exception of Shampooed, whose second to Ei Ei at Stratford last time would be good enough to get him in the frame here, but our vote goes to Idaho D'Ox.
