In depth

Verdict

Another competitive handicap but the TEAMtalk selection is Gue Au Loup from a yard in good form. The gelding from the Henry Daly stable has run as if in need of both his outings this season and he will strip a lot fitter now. He also looks well weighted on his Novice Handicap victory at Bangor last season when defeating Trios Venture. Aelred rates the main danger-he was a good second at Newcastle last time out behind Black Bullet and a reproduction of that form would see him go close, but he has flattered to deceive many times before. Friedhelmo is also worthy of consideration. He was a fair fourth in a much better race last time out when fourth behind Ritual and he could go well despite top weight. Corletto was a game winner at Market Rasen last time out but he has been raised for that victory and he may be in the handicappers grip under his penalty. Guignol du Cochet is a lightly raced gelding who would have a chance on his best form but he looked a shadow of his former self on his return to action recently, however he should strip a lot fitter.
