Verdict
A fairly matched field has been drawn together for the day's feature race at Southwell and Multiple Choice, who takes a huge drop in class after impossible task in top-notch company at Doncaster and Ayr of late, is fancied to take advantage of this ease in grade. Shank On Fourteen has a theoretical chance of reversing Chester form with the selection and is shortlisted as a live danger along with Muy Bein, who has improved with each outing on an artificial surface to date. Toronto Heights is another that would have claims on the pick of his form but he has yet to fulfill his potential and although he travels well in his races, he is not one to rely upon too heavily in a finish. Therefore the process of elimination swings the pendulum back to Multiple Choice, who has a game attitude and hails from a yard that has farmed events like this over the last few years. The draw has also been kind to Nick Littmoden's charge and, after Rules For Jokers boosted the form of his all weather victory by winning at Pontefract yesterday, Multiple Choice is expected to have a little more to offer than his main rivals today.
