    Verdict

Magic Red has solid claims and should outstay the likes of Peak Park and Altitude Dancer, with Charm Offensive and Staff Nurse others worth a small mention. Magic Red seems to save his best efforts for this track, his record on the Flat reading two wins and two seconds from just four appearances. The form of his second to Salut Saint Cloud has worked out well, and judging by the way that he stayed on over a mile and a quarter to finish second three days ago, Mick Ryan's charge should go very close to going one better. Peak Park has yet to win any sort of race and seems to save his best efforts for Lingfield. Nevertheless he does stay, and can make the frame. Altitude Dancer patently needed his belated return at Wolverhampton and has topweight here. He should though be noted when sent over hurdles, especially over a distance of ground. Charm Offensive has been kept over hurdles for the past two years but any money for him would be interesting, while Staff Nurse tries this trip for the first time. Magic Red has the best form on offer and sets the standard for the others to aim at.
