      Verdict

      Nantucket Sound should take all the beating, with Trickstep and Rolex Free seen as the main dangers. Another desperate affair on the sand can go Martin Pipe courtesy of Nantucket Sound who was second in selling company back on the Flat here three weeks ago. A gutsy winner at Bath in a non-claimer in May, he looked very reluctant when sent over hurdles in the race won by Yankeedoodledandy at Sandown in November, and it remains to be seen whether he has lost his love for the game. If he cannot win this then there is no hope and they will do well to sell him on. Ex-Irish Trickstep was successful in claiming company at Ayr in October and more recently ran sixth over hurdles at Newcastle. Rolex Free is the other to consider. He was 'expected' when scoring here under Frankie Dettori in July, and definitely has enough ability to take a race of this nature. For the winner though we shall stay with Nantucket Sound.
