        Verdict

        Legal Lover gets the vote here with Starcross Maid, and Star Fern rating the main dangers. The selection won with a little in hand last time out when beating Starcross Maid last time out and although strictly on these revised terms that rival should gain his revenge here. The selection looks progressive and he is taken to win again. Starcross Maid is sure to have her supporters but she is becoming hard to win with and again place claims look her best prospect. Star Fern is another that could go well but all her best form of late has been over a shorter trip and for that reason she is passed over.Finnegans Rainbow is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with while Kumakawa has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at price but for the winner we return to Legal Lover who at least knows how to get his head in front.
