Verdict
Classic Vision can follow up a recent course and distance victory, although Headland, Spindor, Legalis and Up Tempo all hold claims of sorts as well, and make for an interesting contest. It was no surprise that the lightly-raced Classic Vision improved enough to score over the course and distance on her first outing since last May, as she is a three-parts sister to Yeast, who himself did not visit the winner's enclosure until the age of four. So, with that in mind, trainer William Haggas will be confident that the filly can pay to follow this year. She has the scope to beat this more experienced opposition today, quite a few of whom have place claims at least, based on recent form. Headland tried to make all at Wolverhampton last time in selling company but found the mile trip too far. The drop back should help, as it should for Spindor who found the fancied Mount Hillaby too good last time. Up Tempo has not won since May 2000 but was backed at Wolverhampton last time. He finished second to Lord Chamberlain but is hard to catch right. First-time blinkers failed to do the trick with Legalis here last time but in any case he came up against a gutsy sort in Hurricane Coast. All those mentioned then can have a say, but Classic Vision is the one to be on.
