In depth
Verdict
Brandy Cove is sure to be popular order having been in rude health over the winter. He races off a mark of 61 today but there is hardly strength in depth on this occasion and we will back him to follow up. The blinkers stay on Pawn in Life. Put up 2lb for a recent fourth, there is the suspicion that he doesn't truly stay a mile and we will give him the swerve this time around. Crusoe got off the mark on the seventeenth time of asking. He is, to all intents and purposes, of selling grade and will find life tougher in handicaps. German raider, Blau Grau accounted for Tap in a seller at the track over a mile. He may be open to improvement off 45 and a watching brief on the market is advised. Star Princess famously scored at 100/1 in a maiden (Sorbiesharry behind) and is hard to make a case for. Behan could be of interest if the market speaks in his favour. He does have winning form on the surface and if fresh from a break, he could be well-treated off his current handicap mark. Air of Esteem is respected over his favoured trip.
