        Verdict

        Shifty has been given a short break since beating Sir Bond in a banded stakes race here last month but has gone up 3lbs in the weights since then and this looks a tougher contest so preference is for Mount Royale, who gets the vote over Dubai Dreams. The last mentioned has winning form here over further and may not appreciate the drop back to this trip so is probably best watched, while Rocky Reppin is another that returns to a handicap having been campaigned in banded company of late. Garnock Venture has slipped to an attractive mark and is another to consider but the vote goes to Mount Royale. Nigel Tinkler's gelding is a consistent performer over course and distance and has dropped to a winning mark so gets the vote under the capable Suzanne France.
