Verdict
A large turnout, but with question marks over the likes of Second Minister, Cool Singer and Valuable Gift, it is not as tough to work out as first feared. Mister Sweets has posted two decent efforts on the course of late, but the drop back in trip sways us instead in favour of Indian Steppes. Julian Poulton's charge has found one too good on each of his last five starts, but has run well enough to suggest that he will soon go one better. The way he ran over seven furlongs last time when outgunned by Noul was a pointer to his chance of success when put back in trip. He should not need to pull out all the stops here to finally gain a deserved victory.
