Verdict
Tee Jay Kassidy is in great heart at the moment and should go close despite his big weight, however Pawn In Life could have his measure at today's weights and is taken to land the spoils, Diamond Shannon is also expected to go close. David Barron's gelding was well backed to win a better race than this over the seven furlong trip here last time. He stayed on well in the closing stages to finish third to Warden Warren and should appreciate today's extra furlong. Tee Jay Kassidy's four recent victories included a similar handicap to this over course and distance, he is steadily rising up the weights but hasn't been fully extended as yet and a big run can be expected. Diamond Shannon is also in winning form having landed a seven furlong handicap here last time, however she is trying this trip for the first time, so stamina has to be taken on trust. King Nicholas could prove best of the remainder, but in another very competitive event Pawn In Life just edges the decision
