        Verdict

        Frederic Forever, three times a winner as a juvenile, doesn't look to harshly treated off a mark of 115. Xaipete hasn't won for over two years and is clearly on the downgrade, while Apadi has not shown enough of late to suggest he is about to strike. Valfonic still looks a couple of pounds too high at present, so this may go to the northern raider Virgin Soldier, who is open to any amount of improvement having only had three races to date over timber.
