In depth

Verdict

Somchine won by nine lengths at Southwell and is a genuine soft-ground performer. Walden Prince ran very well behind Parsnip Pete, who went close again at Uttoxeter at the weekend, at Aintree. HEPIJEU ran no sort of race that day and was well beaten but that wasn't his true running and he normally goes well here. Charlie Longsdon's gelding can bounce back with Monkey Kingdom having a bit to prove over this trip and One For The Boss raised a massive 13lb for winning a lesser race at Newton Abbot.
