Verdict

WILD MAX, a winner on the Flat in Germany, was having his first start for over a year when beating Masters Legacy, who goes in the opener, here a month ago. With normal progress he can see off the challenge of France De Reve, a bumper winner in heavy ground in France and certain to be better for her hurdling debut at Uttoxeter where she started a short-priced favourite but weakened at the second last. Dog Of War looked as though he needed further when staying on here a couple of weeks ago but Nafaayes ran very well on the track a month ago and has since ben narrowly beaten on the Flat.
