Verdict

KATPOLI (NAP), the only four-year-old in the race, was having only his second start over fences when making all for an impressive victory at Southwell last week. He's been raised 10lb but can race with a 7lb penalty and will take some beating with normal improvement. Ashoka beat small fields at Southwell and Aintree in early summer and found Class 2 company too hot on his return from a break at Newbury while Pointed And Sharp, who completed a hat-trick in lower grade in the autumn, didn't get far at Kempton last time. The latter's yard also run At Its Own Expense, who won over hurdles here in February but made too many mistakes on his chasing debut at Sandown last month.
