Verdict

The likes of Generous Helpings and Tir Dubh may need the run after absences but are therefore also worth a market check. Course and distance winner, Prince Mahler, ran an excellent race at Wincanton last month in a large-field handicap and has every chance on that evidence but does have to concede a lot of weight to the likes of BROTHER NORPHIN and Admiral Blake, the latter being actually 3lb out of the handicap. Both arrive on the back of respectable handicap performances but preference is for the Mullins gelding, who remains relatively lightly-raced over timber and could well improve on performances to date. He's gone well in the past for his useful conditional and should give a good account off what looks a feasible mark.
